Thesis Question =
Why are flair bar tenders paid more than traditional/standard bar tenders?
Thesis Framework =
Premise 1: Flair tending pays more the traditional tending.
Premise 2: Flair tending is more socially attractive then traditional.
Premise 3: Added effort is a key factor to stepping up from traditional to flair tender.
Conclusion:
When flair is added to a bartender's repertoire a patrons tip better, resulting in being paid more than a bartender who does not practice flair tending.
Thesis Sentence(s) =
The social and monetary benefits of becoming a flair bar tender outweighs the added time and effort of the extended education compared to the outcome of standard bar tending.
Project =
My interest in Bartending...compels me to do an Internship project because I plan to...continue working and better my skills as a bartender. During the time of my internship project I want to learn more skills and new tricks in order to obtain more money...in order for me to better myself as a bartender... I am planning on communicating with local bussneses and bartenders/ managers... in order to organize/coordinate my internship.
My interest bartending...compels me to participate in a Community Service project because I recognize that I can contribute to the cause or improvement working ethic within the youth... During the time of my community service project I want to collaborate with experts on my topic and learn the facts i dont already know... staying ontop of your game will help you go futher in the working field...
I recognize that trying to find a reliable expert...is an issue for me... I will have to coordinate with my mentor and other teachers to try to find a good location and experts to rely on for information... in order to have the impact I desire. My Social Action project is an attempt to change the view on bartending as a job and how people it is a serious job but its also a fun job ...some people think that bartending is not a job and that you wont go anywhere in the work field...
I recognize that there is a need for information... for the people who can help me better my project... My project of the defferance between flair and tradational bartending is to create insite and show people the differance and hopefully teach them somthing... for (identify the person/people)... because...
